In the Bahamian dialect, there's a a go-to word everyone uses when the actual name of a person/place/thing escapes us: tingum. "Did you see, Tingum?" "You going to tingum?" "Pass me that tingum." It's usually followed by a long suck of the teeth and snapping fingers to emphasize exasperation with having forgotten the word. This tee, like all of the tees in our colloquialism collection, is a celebration of our dialect.
