In 2017 we are celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Women's Suffrage Movement in The Bahamas. While, by no means, an exhaustive list of the women who fought for our voting rights, this shirt celebrates the five women who lead the movement. We would also like to acknowledge the women who stood with these women to further women's voting rights in The Bahamas: Albertha Isaacs, Althea Mortimer, Norah Hanna, Gladys Bailey, Madge Brown, Veronica Lotmore, Una Prosper Heastie, Ethel Kemp, Mildred Moxey, Marion Stuart and Mildred Donaldson (womensuffragebahamas.com).
